I believe we really make a difference in families’ lives by linking the family up with the right volunteer. Elderly people living alone live longer, happier, and healthier lives because of our mission. Also, caregivers can finally get a break from worrying about their family member while running errands. The dollars raised will help Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee to continue their goal of providing a gift of time and caring support to adults with persistent health needs and their families. Respite Volunteers served 225 families last year and expect more this year. Together we can help continue these services that are in so much demand especially in today’s economic climate.
